After we got settled in the new house, we decided to search for our new family member. I found a local classified ad [ not craigslist ] advertising for a small black pug puppy named “batman” who was three months old.

The next day we took a drive and met with the nice family who raised “batman”. We met mom – a fawn petite pug who was chasing her tail the whole time & dad – a black small pug who grunted and snorted. Batman was raised by a little boy, who picked him up by his front legs and he had the same type of raging male puppy like behavior. We were told to be sensitive to this little boy because he loved batman so we were prepared for alot of crying, ranting, and raving but as a matter of fact,it was a smooth exchange. The boy was happy because his dad was buying him legos. I offered to keep in touch, or even have a pug meetup so they know, we will be loving and caring parents to Batman.
Harley freaked out when he met these new dogs, there was so much commotion going on in that backyard. A female going around in circles, A male pig-like pug , and Batman who was pulling Harley’s curved tail all the way straight.. Andrew pet Harley to keep him calm while he was observing the madness.
For a second I wondered if this was going to be okay? but I knew batman would calm down after all the other commotion chilled out.We parted ways and decided we cannot keep the name batman so we decided he new name is Miles Davis.
Miles sat in the front with me all the way home, and he stuck his head out the window. Harley pushed his way to sit with Miles in the front, they were both quiet and tolerable of each other and we were on our way to Miles Davis’ new home.
